The History of Woodmont Montessori

I am thrilled to be living my dream of guiding children in a small, in-home Montessori classroom! I first fell in love with the idea during my student teaching, when I was assigned to a 12 child classroom in a detached home school house.

Before reaching this goal, I sought to gain valuable experience in a reputable Montessori school. After completing my Montessori training, I was offered a lead teacher position in Oakland, CA. Established in 1978, this award-winning, year-round Montessori school became the perfect place to hone my skills. Surrounded by some of the most dedicated and experienced colleagues, I thrived in a community that emphasized collaboration and connection.

After five wonderful years there, I felt ready to move on and start expanding my family. Following the birth of my first daughter, we decided to return to the East Coast to be closer to our loved ones. We found a beautiful home in Bon Air, where I’ve been thoughtfully preparing a space to welcome families to Woodmont Montessori LLC!

I am over the moon to invite you into this loving, supportive village and embark on this journey together to nurture and inspire our youth!
